Man Who Lost Memory Identified As 23-Year-Old Missing From New Mexico
AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) – Aurora police said the man who didn’t know who he was has been identified as a 23-year-old missing from New Mexico.
Police said the man walked into a McDonald’s near Interstate 225 and East Colfax Avenue on Saturday afternoon, but didn’t know who he was.
The man had no identification or phone, and running of his fingerprints turned up no matches.
The man had been missing from New Mexico since last Thursday. It is unknown how he ended up in Colorado or what caused his memory loss. His name has not been released.
A friend of the family in Colorado Springs recognized the man from pictures she saw on the news and called his mother. The two are expected to be reunited Wednesday afternoon.
“He was transported to a hospital for evaluation and there was no sign of injury or trauma,” police said in a statement.
It is unclear what medical treatment he will receive, if any, to help recover his memory loss.
Anyone who can help police with their investigation is asked to call Aurora police at (303) 739-6090.
