NORTHGLENN, Colo. (AP) — Three people are in custody after someone fired shots at two officers during a traffic stop and continued shooting as they fled police.
Authorities said Wednesday the officers were unable to return fire, but neither officer was hit.
The chase ended in Thornton Tuesday night when the suspects jumped out of the car and ran. They were captured a short time later.
The suspects are identified as Charles Chacon, Desiree Pitts and Jeremy James. They are facing attempted murder charges and assault on a police officer.
