DENVER (CBS4) – A stretch of westbound Interstate 76 had to be closed Monday morning due to an accident.

The Colorado Department of Transportation said a truck hauling a steel structure had it knocked off the trailor after it hit the Dahlia Street Bridge.

The structure was removed but inspectors have been checking out the bridge to make sure it is structurally safe.
