Colorado Says 87 Work Fatalities In 2011

DENVER (AP) - The Colorado Health Department says there were 87 work-related deaths in 2011, two more than were reported the year before.

The latest figures released Monday show transportation fatalities were among the top three causes of death, with 34 deaths accounting for 39 percent.

There were 16 deaths from violence, including nine that were self-inflicted, and 16 deaths from accidents involving equipment.
