DENVER (CBS4) – There were major traffic issues after an accident Friday morning. A piece of construction equipment hit the Interstate 270 flyover ramp above eastbound I-70.
Colorado Department of Transportation crews inspected the bridge for most of the day after some debris fell on passing cars. Traffic was backed up for miles.
The left lane of the ramp from eastbound I-270 to I-70 will remain closed until the repairs are finished. Drivers can use Quebec Street to access I-70 instead.
