LONE TREE, Colo. (CBS4) – A dog in Lone Tree had to be rescued after it fell through thin ice on Wednesday.

A yellow lab wandered out onto the Lone Tree Golf Course when he fell through a thinning section of an ice-covered lake.

A South Metro firefighter came to the rescue. He got into the water and helped get the dog out.

The dog is okay and back with his owner.
