Woman Shot, Killed In Denver Tech Center

GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo. (CBS4) - Police in Greenwood Village are investigating a homicide that happened on Thursday morning in the parking garage of a luxury apartment complex in the Denver Tech Center.

After calls came in about an incident, arriving police officers saw signs of a struggle around 7:50 a.m. at the Promenade Place apartments on the 5200 block of South Ulster Street. They went into the garage and found the body of a 20-year-old woman on the third floor.

Officers said they tried to rescussitate the woman, who had at least two gunshot wounds.

A green Jeep Cherokee was seen leaving the area, and police sent out a notice to other officers. The vehicle was located soon afterwards at RTD's Belleview Light Rail Station, about a mile away.

Police said the owner of that vehicle may be the suspect in the case, and they are searching for that person. They said there is also another person of interest in their case.

One of the people described as being a person of interest in the case is named Robert Lewis, a former co-worker with the victim. He was terminated for harassing her a few weeks ago, according to police.

A crime scene was set up where the woman's body was found, and many residents who were set to go to work in their cars were unable to get into the garage area while the investigation continued.

Several residents told CBS4 they heard gunshots before the body was found.

Police said they aren't sure if the woman lived in the apartment complex.
