DENVER (AP) – The latest round of snow has brought nearly a foot of new snow to Wolf Creek ski resort in southwestern Colorado.

Wolf Creek reported Thursday that it has received 11 inches of new snow in the last 24 hours. Steamboat Springs says it has 9 inches of new snow and Winter Park reported 8.

A Christmas Eve storm brought fresh snow to resorts before the latest storm moved in Wednesday. That system is expected to linger through Friday morning.

The National Weather Service says Thursday’s snowfall will be steady and light in western Colorado, especially north of Interstate 70 and in the mountains. Some light accumulation is expected at lower elevations.
