Weld County Considers Ban On Parts Of Amendment 64
WELD COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Weld County commissioners will take a final vote on a proposed ban on parts of Amendment 64 in a couple of weeks.
Amendment 64 legalized marijuana in Colorado.
On Wednesday county commissioners passed another preliminary vote on a ban on retail outlets in unincorporated parts of the county.
The ban would also outlaw grow operations.
Possessing marijuana would still be legal in Weld County.
The actions don't impact municipalities like Greeley or Evans because cities can make their own decisions on how to handle Amendment 64.
