Longmont Neighbors Help Woman Whose Holiday Home Was Vandalized

LONGMONT, Colo. (CBS4) – Neighbors in Longmont are coming together to help a woman whose home was hit by vandals.

Someone smashed some ornaments a week ago and stole others items at the home of Catalina Arellano. The home had so many decorations that it was featured in the local paper’s holiday lights guide.

Arellano says she can’t believe someone would do such a terrible thing during Christmas, but she’s glad to have support from her neighbors.

“So I get out and I could not believe it that everything was destroyed and knocked on the ground. I just felt very sad,” Arellano said.

People have been dropping off everything from extension cords to angels to cash.

Police say they have no leads, but are asking for help tracking down the thieves.
