Fire Spreads To Deck After Trailer Engulfed In Flames

GILPIN COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- Firefighters in Gilpin County rushed to put out a trailer that had caught fire and spread to the deck where it was being stored on Thursday.

The fire broke out at 2:55 p.m. Thursday and firefighters from the Timberline Fire Department rushed to 141 Hacker Drive in unincorporated Gilpin County where they found a trailer parked under the deck that was fully engulfed in flames.

The fire had spread to the deck of the home and was threatening the house.

The tenant was able to escape the fire unharmed.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire before the house caught fire but the deck and the trailer were destroyed.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.

Firefighters from Black Hawk Fire, Central City Fire, Nederland Fire, troopers from the Colorado State Patrol and deputies from the Gilpin County Sheriff's Office all responded to the fire.
