FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) – Wes Eikmeier had 17 points to lead five Colorado State players scoring in double figures as the Rams pulled away in the second half for a 78-58 victory against Cal State Bakersfield on Wednesday night.
Hornung ignited the surge with a dunk that gave the Rams a 57-50 cushion, and his six straight points – on a three-point play and 3-point shot – bloated the lead to 18 points with 1:20 remaining.
Tyrone White had 18 points and Stephon Carter 17 for Cal State Bakersfield (4-8).
The contest was part of the Continental Tire Las Vegas Classic. The event moves to Las Vegas this weekend, with Colorado State playing Portland and Cal State Bakersfield facing North Florida on Saturday.
The Rams’ home win streak is currently fourth best in the country.
