DENVER (AP) — Gov. John Hickenlooper is asking Coloradans to observe a moment of silence on Friday to remember the 26 people killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
Hickenlooper and governors across the country are calling for the moment of silence at 9:30 a.m. in local time zones — the hour of the shooting last Friday in Connecticut.
Hickenlooper also urged government buildings and places of worship to ring bells 26 times in honor of those who died at the school.
