FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) – Greg Smith had 15 points, seven rebounds and five assists and Colorado State pulled away in the second half to beat North Florida 83-55 Monday night.
Pierce Hornung had 13 points and seven rebounds while Dorian Green contributed 13 points and five assists for the Rams (7-2), who bounced back from losses to Colorado and Illinois-Chicago. The game marks CSU’s 18th straight win at home, which is tied for the fourth longest active streak in the nation with Southern Mississippi.
Colton Iverson had 10 points and Daniel Bejarano shared rebounding honors with seven. Colorado State was 7 for 11 from 3-point range and extended its seven-point halftime lead to as many as the final margin of 28.
Travis Wallace led the Ospreys (3-7) with 12 points. Parker Smith added 10 points.
The Rams owned a 41-23 rebounding edge and held North Florida to 43 percent shooting – 36 percent in the second half.
