Pikes Peaks Highway To Open To Cyclists
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) - Cyclists will soon be able to pedal all the way to the top of Pikes Peak.
Starting on New Year's Day the Pikes Peak Highway will be open to cyclists. In the past, the route to the 14er has only been open to cyclists on organized rides, but a recent trial program was so successful that access will become permanent.
Cyclists 16 and older will pay the regular $10 daily admission fee or they can buy an annual pass.
