DENVER (AP) — Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper and legislative leaders will be giving a preview of what to expect at the session that begins next month.
Gun control, the possible expansion of Medicaid eligibility, and oil and gas drilling are among the topics expected to be garner heated debate in the 2012 session. The event Friday with legislative leaders could provide a glimpse of what the conversations will look like.
Hickenlooper and leaders from the House and Senate will be speaking at the annual event hosted by the Colorado Press Association.
The Legislature convenes Jan. 9.
