2 New Year's Eve Parties To Explode Over Denver

DENVER (CBS4)- There are not one, but two chances to ring in 2013 along the 16th Street Mall in downtown Denver on New Year's Eve.

There are two spectacular firework displays planned, one for 9 p.m. for families and a traditional second party at midnight. Watching the fireworks show is free.

The dazzling firework displays explode above the 16th Street Mall the famous mile-long pedestrian promenade in downtown Denver.

Tens of thousands of people jam the mall which is lined with 40 outdoor cafes, many of them open with heat lamps for a rockin' party.

Denver has been ranked as one of the most popular U.S. destinations to spend New Year's Eve, according to Orbitz.

There are 8,400 hotel rooms and 300 restaurants within walking distance of the fireworks.
