DENVER (CBS4) – A man accused in a deadly hit-and-run on South Parker Road who later turned himself in has been formally charged.
Lynn Kimbrough with the district attorney’s office said Jim Tillmon, 30, has been charged with vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death.
On Dec. 6 around 6 p.m. Zewde Ali, 61, was standing in the center median in the 1000 block of South Parker Road when she was struck by a vehicle.
“The charges allege that Tillmon was driving the vehicle that hit her and that he fled the scene without providing aid or reporting the crash,” Kimbrough said in a statement.
Tillmon turned himself in two days later and remains in custody. His bond was set at $250,000. He is scheduled back in court on Friday to be formally advised of the charges.
