BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – A school district in Boulder County is enjoying a windfall in the latest round of Race to the Top grants from the federal government.
The St. Vrain Valley School District will get $16.5 million from Washington. The money will help the district implement reform plans and also support science, technology and math programs.
It is the first time the U.S. Department of Education has given grants to individual school districts and not states.
