Inaugural Flight For Volaris Airlines Lands At DIA
DENVER (CBS4) - A new international airline is now flying out of Denver International Airport.
The inaugural flight for Volaris Airlines landed at the airport on Saturday. The airline is expected to be very popular with people who want to travel to Mexico City, not just vacation destinations.
Denver Mayor Michael Hancock and other dignitaries were on hand for the celebration.
"I would say half the plane were making their first trip to Denver, Colorado on our new flight, and that's exciting. It means new opportunities for tourism in Denver as well as business connections," Hancock said.
Volaris will take off twice a week from DIA to Mexico City.
