Ugly Sweaters Invade The Streets Of Denver
DENVER (CBS4) - Thousands of runners donned some unusual attire before hitting the road on Saturday. It was all part of the annual Ugly Sweater Run through Denver.
The 5K run benefited Toys for Tots. Most runners were more interested in showing off their holiday spirit than improving their time. Some say they put a lot of thought into their outfit.
"We stayed up last night finishing them up," one participant said.
"It's from the 80s, it's vintage, it's ugly, ugly," another said.
The run included a snow making machine at the finish line, but it wasn't real snow, just shaving cream.
