DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – Firefighters rushed to put out a detached garage that was engulfed in flames before it spread to surrounding wildland on Saturday.
A pre-evacuation alert was sent out to neighboring homes in a five-mile radius of the fire west of Chatfield State Park.
The garage and two vehicles were a total loss but firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading to the home and grasslands.
