AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) – A man arrested after a controversial traffic stop in Aurora has reached a plea deal.
Christian Paetsch will appear in court next month. He’s accused of robbing an Aurora bank on June 2. He’s expected to plead guilty to armed bank robbery.
A federal judge had ruled that police were justified in stopping 20 cars at a stoplight and ordering innocent bystanders out of their cars at gunpoint in their search for a suspect.
Stacks of money stolen from the bank contained a GPS tracking device that led police to the intersection, but they couldn’t pinpoint the suspect’s exact location.
