Arrests Made In Armed Robbery, High Speed Chase

LONE TREE, Colo. (CBS4)– Two men wanted in connection with an armed robbery at the Park Meadows Mall Nordstroms store and leading police on a high speed chase have been arrested.

Federal Marshall Violent Offender Task Force officers arrested Steven Hernandez and Vincent Chacon in Denver on Wednesday.

Hernandez, 24, and Chacon, 21, were arrested on outstanding warrants in connection with the Nov. 2 robbery and chase. They have been charged with aggravated robbery and conspiracy to commit theft.

Police said after the robbery the men took off in a blue BMW X5. Lone Tree police officers pursued the vehicle until the chase was called off in the interest of public safety.

Police in Lone Tree received an anonymous tip regarding the two suspects which led to their arrest.

There is still one outstanding suspect at large. His information is not being released pending additional charges.

What the suspects stole from Nordstroms has not been released.
