2 Go To Hospital After Grand Junction Explosion

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) - Grand Junction police say a man and woman were taken to a hospital after an explosion at a home, but they are expected to survive.

Police says preliminary information indicates a detonation inside a safe in the home caused the explosion Thursday afternoon. The exact cause of the detonation wasn't immediately determined. A bomb technician was on scene evaluating the contents of the safe.

Police say nearby homes aren't in danger.
