WELD COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – He plotted to drug his friend so he could have sex with the man’s daughters but police caught him before he could go through with it.

Alan Smith on Monday was sentenced in Weld County to three years in a community corrections program.

Police records show Smith planned to invite his friend and two daughters over and give the father a sleeping pill so he could assault the girls.

An undercover officer arrested smith in June. He’ll have to register as a sex offender.
