Colorado State Beats Northern Colorado 85-69

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - Dorian Green scored 19 points and had seven assists, Colton Iverson had 18 points and 13 rebounds and Colorado State's ability to cash in its free-throw attempts separated the Rams from Northern Colorado in an 85-69 win over the Bears on Monday night.

CSU (5-0) made 21 of 23 from the line, including 14 straight to start the game. The Rams out-rebounded Northern Colorado 38 to 28 and held the Bears to just 37 percent shooting from the field in the second half.

Three other players were in double figures scoring for the Rams including Wes Eikmeier who tallied 17 points. Greg Smith had 14 points on 6-of-7 shooting while adding eight rebounds and Jon Octeus had 10 points and five rebounds.

Tevin Svihovec scored 16 points to lead Northern Colorado (1-3). Tate Unruh and Derrick Barden scored 13 apiece and Tim Huskisson added 10 points and seven rebounds.
