BOULDER, Colo. (AP) – The Colorado Buffaloes have two chances to avoid the worst season in school history. They can skirt that fate with a win over Washington on Saturday.
The Buffaloes (1-9, 1-6 Pac 12) are in danger of going winless at home unless they can beat the Cougars this week or Utah next week. It’s a tall order for a team that has given up an average of 52 points over its last six games.
First up for the Buffaloes is bowl-eligible Washington (6-4, 3-3), which has won three straight after a tough start to the conference season. The Huskies’ practices are in the morning during the week so they won’t be bothered by the early start, which will be 10:30 a.m. by their body clocks.
