LITTLETON, Colo. (CBS4)- It was an emotional day for family and friends as they said goodbye to a man killed in a hit and run crash.
Dennis Dolce was killed when the vehicle he was driving was struck head-on by an SUV after that driver crossed the median of C-470 in Lone Tree on Nov. 1.
Dolce, 51, left behind three children.
A large crowd gathered at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Littleton on Wednesday to say their final goodbyes.
Friends say he died much too soon.
“This is a great loss, our community has lost a great man and we need to pay attention to make sure we’re safe and not let this happen again,” said Dolce’s neighbor Steve Maisel. “This has profoundly affected our whole community.”
Police have arrested Erin Finn, the suspected driver of the SUV that struck Dolce head-on. Finn is facing charges of vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of an accident.
