DIA Shuttle Bus Driver Charged In Death Of Pedestrian
DENVER (CBS4) - A 59-year-old shuttle bus driver has been formally charged in connection with a pedestrian fatality at Denver International Airport three weeks ago.
Lynn Kimbrough with the district attorney's office said Yakov Rakhshtut, 59, has been charged with one count of careless driving resulting in death.
"The charge alleges that Rakhshtut was driving a rental car shuttle on Oct. 13 at 11:45 a.m. when he hit a woman in a crosswalk as she was walking toward the terminal," Kimbrough said in a statement.
Katherine McKinley, 57, later died from a head injury.
Rakhshtut is scheduled on Nov. 20 to be arraigned.
