LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) – Police in Lakewood are investigating a shooting that put one boy in a hospital and another in a juvenile detention center.

Officers say a 14-year-old shot a 12-year-old family member at the Panorama Motel on North Sheridan Boulevard Friday night.

The younger boy’s injuries are described as non life-threatening. The 14-year-old is being held for investigation of theft and possession of a gun by a minor.

Police say there were adults in the room at the time of the shooting.
