No Criminal Charges In Motorcycle Officer's Death

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Colorado Springs police say no charges will be filed in a crash that killed a motorcycle officer.

Colorado Springs officer Matt Tyner died in a collision July 24 while he was conducting traffic enforcement. Prosecutors say there is probable cause to issue summonses to a person involved in the crash for traffic violations, but Tyner's family did not want to cause the person more pain by going through court proceedings.

Police haven't released many details of how Tyner died, but they said Friday they are still seeking the driver of a black motorcycle that was in the vicinity.
