DENVER (CBS4) – A man was hit and killed while trying to cross 70th Avenue Tuesday morning, perhaps to catch a bus.

Copter4 was over the accident just after it happened around 7 a.m. It was dark when the 43-year-old man tried to get across and was hit by a Jeep.

Denver police say it’s unlikely the driver will be charged.

The names of the victim and the driver have not been released.
