DENVER (CBS4) – Hurricane Sandy is having a major impact on events this week connected to Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign.
Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan had been planning to make three campaign stops in Colorado on Tuesday, but those have been canceled.
Romney and Ryan called off all of their planned campaign events for Monday night and Tuesday. That includes Ryan’s stops in Greeley, Castle Rock and Canon City.
Romney says now is the time for the nation and its leaders to come together and focus on those in danger.
Romney is expected to make at least one more campaign stop in Colorado before Election Day — Nov. 6.
