DENVER (CBS4) – Those thinking ahead to the holidays now have a way to help those who have served the country.
Volunteers are collecting food to ensure that military families have a happy Thanksgiving. This weekend Homefront Heroes hopes to fill up a Mayflower moving van at the Sam’s Club in Stapleton located at 7805 East 35th Avenue.
“Fill The Mayflower is a local food and funds drive for military families here in our own community who struggle at the holiday season,” Linda Olson Ferguson with Homefront Heroes said.
Drop off non-perishable items or make cash donations at the Mayflower van. The group is hoping Sam’s Club members purchase bulk items to fill the Mayflower.
