DENVER (AP) — Colorado Department of Transportation snowplow drivers are cleaning up the snow and bracing for another round in parts of the Denver area before a storm system moves out.

Several inches of snow fell in the metro area early Thursday and transportation officials expect more heavy snow Thursday night.

Officials at Denver International Airport say there are no major delays or cancellations due to the weather, but planes are stopping for de-icing.

The storm that began Wednesday night provoked an impromptu snowball fight that drew scores of students out to the University of Colorado Boulder’s Farrand Field in the dark.
