Wildfire West Of Pueblo Grows Overnight

WETMORE, Colo. (CBS4) - The Wetmore Wildfire grew overnight and is now at 1,742 acres. Fire officials say so far they have no containment on it and it has between 350 and 380 homes evacuated.

Wind is biggest challenge in fighting fire on Wednesday, according to officials.

A total of twelve structures have been destroyed in the fire but officials aren't sure what types of structures they are.

Highways 96 and 67 are still closed in portions near Wetmore.

A Type 2 Management team is working on the fire.

Several evacuation centers have been set up in Florence by the Red Cross. Pets and larger animals can be brought to the Pueblo County Fairgrounds.

FEMA has approved emergency funding.
