DENVER (CBS4) – If the reports are true, Ty Lawson has a $45 million decision to make. That’s what the Denver Nuggets have offered their point guard.
The offer is said to be for four years.
If Lawson doesn’t sign the extension by the end of the month, he can become a restricted free agent after the season.
The Nuggets think Lawson is about to become one of the top point guards in the NBA.
The deal is very similar to the one JaVale McGee signed recently. He got a 4-year, $44 million contract. Andre Iguodala is the highest paid Nugget making $14.7 million this season.
Neither Lawson nor the Nuggets would comment on the state of their negotiations.
