DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – The Colorado State Patrol is searching for a suspect who led them on a chase in Douglas County who may also be responsible for a shooting in Colorado Springs.
Around 6 p.m. on Saturday a trooper traveling northbound on Interstate 25 near Monument observed a green Honda Accord matching the description of a vehicle associated with the shooting. The trooper tried to pull the Honda over, but the driver fled.
After a chase for about two miles the Honda crashed in the median near Tomah Road and the driver fled on foot and escaped.
There were four other people in the car that remained at the scene. They were taken into custody for questioning but haven’t been charged with a crime.
