DENVER (CBS4) – Olympic gold medal swimmer Missy Franklin has announced she will attend University of California, Berkeley next year.
Franklin’s father confirmed the choice to CBS4′s Tom Mustin on Saturday.
Franklin, who is from Centennial, won four gold medals and a bronze during the London Games last summer. She is a senior at Regis Jesuit High School in Aurora.

She recently told sportscaster Bob Costas she was considering attending Cal-Berkeley, Georgia, University of Southern California and Texas.
California is currently ranked No. 1 in women’s swimming this year.
