DENVER (AP) – Colorado’s unemployment rate decreased to 8 percent in September, down two-tenths of a percentage point from August’s unemployment rate of 8.2 percent.
The figures released Friday by the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment show the largest over the month private sector job gains were in education, health services, trade, transportation and utilities. Meanwhile, the largest over the month decline was in manufacturing.
The national unemployment rate in September was 7.8 percent.
