COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4) – A police chase in Colorado Springs ended in a crash after officers forced the vehicle off the road Saturday night.
Police said the suspect, identified as Carl Lee Greigo, 33, carjacked a truck near Galley Road and Murray Boulevard around 9 p.m. Police said Greigo allegedly forced the driver of the truck out of his vehicle at gunpoint.
Officers located the stolen truck about 40 minutes later and attempted to pull him over. He allegedly fired shots at them and fled.
Greigo and an officer had to be hospitalized but both have been released.
Greigo faces charges of attempted first-degree murder of a peace officer and aggravated robbery.
