4 Killed In Crash In Weld County

WELD COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Four people were killed in a crash involving a semi truck in Weld County Saturday morning.

Cpl. Heather Cobler with the Colorado State Patrol said the flatbed truck was traveling southbound on County Road 54 when it crashed into an Infinity going westbound on County Road 54 around 10:45 a.m.

Cobler said the Infinity failed to stop at a stop sign.

Two adults and one juvenile in the Infinity died at the scene and another juvenile was airlifted to The Children's Hospital and later died.

The victims have been identified as Jaime Prado-Garcia, 45, from Omaha, Neb.; Linda Alvarez, 63, also from Omaha; Pedro Partida, 8, from Evans; and Christian Partida, 2, also from Evans.

Prado-Garcia and Alvarez were married but the children, who were brothers, were not related to them.

The truck driver was airlifted to Northern Colorado Medical Center. His condition hasn't been released.

The names of the victims haven't been released.

The crash is under investigation.
