The incident happened Sunday on the Mary Carter Greenway Trail in South Platte Park, just north of West Mineral Avenue. It was near the Carson Nature Center parking lot near Aspen Grove in Littleton.

The barbed wire was tied between two sign posts and was sitting about one foot above the ground.
