DENVER (CBS4) – It’s already October, and that means it’s Denver Nuggets season.

The team opens training camp Tuesday and the first preseason game is this Saturday.

On Monday the team unveiled new alternate uniforms. They’re going retro with the old 1980s cityscape.

They’ll wear the new uniforms for a few games this season, and the players love them.

“They’re pretty cool, I like them. This yellow was a pretty good surprise this morning when we came to the gym,” forward Danilo Gallinari said.

“That’s why I’m excited about it. In high school I had the white throw-back, the real one … I had the whole thing, the rainbow colors and everything,” Guard Ty Lawson said.

The Nuggets open up the preseason against the Clippers in Los Angeles Saturday at 8:30 p.m.
