Air Force Academy Cadet Found Dead
AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. (AP) — An Air Force Academy cadet was found unconscious Friday and was pronounced dead.
The military academy in Colorado Springs did not immediately identify the cadet. A spokeswoman could not say whether the cadet was male or female, or where the cadet was from.
The school says other cadets were informed of the death at lunch Friday. The cadet was found unconscious Friday morning and taken to Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs, where the cadet was pronounced dead.
Academy Superintendent Lt. Gen. Mike Gould said the Academy was "deeply saddened by the death of one of our own."
The death was under investigation Friday.
