JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – A bear was spotted up in a tree in between Pierce and Wadsworth in the Columbine Knolls South neighborhood Saturday afternoon.
The bear was tranquilized, tagged and relocated. She was a first time offender and not considered a hazard to the public.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife says it’s best to put away bird feeders, secure trash containers and keep food locked inside so as not to tempt bears.
