ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- Deputies in Adams County are searching for three men wanted for duping an elderly couple out of their safes full of valuables and gold jewelry.
Deputies said the crime occurred while the couple was showing their camper trailer to the thieves in front of their home near 70th Avenue and Jennie Drive.
While the couple was giving a tour of the camper to one suspect, two others slipped in the back door and stole the couple’s three safes full of a coin collection and jewelry.
The three safes contained a coin collection which included numerous silver dollars, half dollars, 15 $20 gold pieces and numerous rare uncirculated coins.
Two of the most valuable coins have identifying numbers on the on the packaging; a 1907 $20 gold coin bearing number 4006640101 and a 1908 $20 gold coin bearing number 1972520101. These coins were placed into plastic covers which display the aforementioned numbers that had been generated after a grading process.

The suspects are described as three Hispanic men. The first male is described as being approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall having dark hair and dark colored eyes. The first male is further described as being heavy set and between the ages of 18-20 years old.
The second male is described as also being approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall having dark hair and dark colored eyes.
