BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — Boulder, Colo.-based New Frontier Media Inc. says it has terminated CEO Michael Weiner.
A written statement from the company, which distributes adult content to cable and satellite TV providers, didn’t say why it terminated Weiner, who is in his early 70s.
The company said Tuesday that Alan Isaacman, who is on the board of directors, will take Weiner’s place as chairman of the board. Chief Financial Officer Grant Williams, Chief Legal Officer Marc Callipari and Chief Technology Officer Scott Piper are sharing the chief executive officers’ duties while the company chooses a replacement.
Weiner is a co-founder of the company and became CEO in 2004.
In recent months, New Frontier has received at least two buyout offers.
