New Free Exhibit Introduces Children To The Arts

DENVER (CBS4) - A fun new exhibit is now open in Denver to help introduce children to the arts, and it's free.

The exhibit is called "Do You See What I See?" It features the works of renowned local and national artists.

The curator says many time art exhibits aren't designed with children in mind, but this one encourages them to explore and even touch the pieces.

The goal is to expose children of all backgrounds to the arts.

"We really wanted to not only show the artwork, but show kids an artist is a person and that art is something you might be able to do yourself," Natasha Clews Gallaway said. "Some of the pieces show the work being created and artists in action doing their work."

The exhibit runs through Oct. 14 at Washington and Ringsby Court in North Denver.
